About Me

Learn more about my journey, mission, and passion for global health and social impact.

My Bio

My name is Tegan, and I am on a mission to make this world a better place through research and scholarship. My work spans social impact, academia, and media. With a strong commitment to change-making, I have led philanthropic and international development initiatives across the US and Africa, leveraging my expertise in communication and program management. Addressing global issues such as HIV/AIDS, neglected tropical diseases, COVID-19, and malaria, I develop behavior change strategies, lead vaccination campaigns, mobilize resources, and shape advocacy efforts.

Most recently, I was a postdoctoral fellow at the University of Toronto. As a global health scholar, my research emphasizes on the use of evidence-based interventions to improve population health outcomes. I am trained in organizational behavior, exploring the intersection of management, organizations, and sociology. I hold a PhD in Public Policy and a Doctorate in Health Sciences. I received my first doctoral training in Public and International Affairs at the University of Pittsburgh (2017–2021), where I was trained in using evidence-based management as a tool for improving healthcare delivery in Africa.

My other research areas include organizational behavior and international development. I earned my B.A. in History from Duke University at the age of 19. Additionally, I am an alumnus of the University of Pennsylvania and New York University; I hold an executive certificate in Business Administration from Notre Dame.
